Markdown vs Wysiwyg

I know all the advantages of Markdown, but if we want to offer the solution to a non-technical clientele to express their needs, it would be necessary to be able to activate (on demand?) a Wysiwyg type editor.

This would allow our customers to write their User Story in a clear way without worrying about the technical syntax of their text.

Hello Ruben,

Thank you very much for your feedback. I just tested and unfortunately it's still not really what I expect.

For example, how can a customer upload an image in his content that he would post?

First he has to find a way to host the image externally, then copy the link and paste it into the editor.

Quite frankly, without being negative about the competence of our customers, I can already say that this will never work.

I'm not even talking about the table, which has to be structured in Markdown, as it's also impossible for an end customer to use this type of structure.

As far as I'm concerned, the new editor offers very few advantages over the old one. It's still markdown with features that are unfortunately TOO LIMITED for end-users.

Do you think it will evolve over time?

Thank you for your feedback and have a nice day.

Don't understand why this isn't getting more votes. Have you found a good markdown wysiwyg editor?

1000% agree. I'm testing the system out now, and for markdown is just not intuitive for most clientele. think what editor do most interact with on a regular basis? Gmail? Google Docs? Supporting keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+B, I, U for emphasis would be helpful.

I agree! We are actually still searching for a well working markdown wysiwyg editor. This is added to our wish list.
